The Goose Creek High football team’s ouster from the playoffs last year started a firestorm of debate concerning the power the South Carolina High School League now wields in the process of regulating high school athletics in South Carolina.
The High School League’s Executive Director, Jerome Singleton, has come under fire in some quarters since the Goose Creek ruling was handed down. In the past we’ve had Goose Creek Head Coach Chuck Reedy, and others, on the program to provide an alternate opinion to the ruling of the league, and also lay out some changes they’d like to see with the regulating process, henceforth.
Representative Mike Anthony is a friend of the show and also happens to be a former coach and athletic director. He has the unique ability to have his finger on the pulse of both sides, therefore he’s our go-to-guy when it comes to the league’s future is run through the political process.
