Not a great day for baseball and Mother Nature has ruined most of today’s action. Clemson and Wright State are postponed. Weather permitting they will play two tomorrow at Doug Kingsmore Stadium with the first game slated to begin at 1:00. The second game will start 30 minutes after the first one ends and both will be a full nine innings. According to Clemson officials the stadium will be cleared between the two games Saturday so no free baseball for you Friday ticket holders.
In Columbia, USC couldn’t get its opening game against Albany in. The forecast is shaky tomorrow too, but the game is still on for 4:00 Saturday. The two teams will play two 9 inning games on Sunday. The first one is at noon. According to USC officials, fans with tickets to the Friday or Sunday game will be allowed to get in for the doubleheader.
Other games that were postponed Friday: USC-Upstate vs George Washington, Wofford vs Pitt.
