He goes into this trip with the Irish his leader over North Carolina and Clemson. “Great education, great football, great following and they are on TV every week,” Hood said of the Irish. Hood could not make Clemson’s recent junior day and said he won’t make the one in early March either. He went to Georgia Tech’s junior day and is going to North Carolina March 9th for the Duke basketball game. Georgia and Purdue are his most recent offers. Hood would like to make his decision before his season but does not have a definite date.

Though he has not visited USC or Clemson, he plans to visit both. “I’ll probably go to South Carolina this spring and Clemson in the fall,” said Autry. “I don’t know too much about Clemson but, when I think of them, I think bright orange. I’ve heard they have a good campus. I’ve been watching South Carolina so I know they have a pretty good football team. I talked to one of their coaches and he was real cool.” He has visited Georgia, Georgia Tech, FSU and Tennessee and plans to return to FSU this weekend. As a junior he compiled over 1800 all-purpose yards and 22 touchdowns. Autry does not have any favorites.
DE Andrew Williams of McDonough, GA has decided to wait until late spring before narrowing his list to five. He had previously planned to do so sometime this February. “I want to wait until I take all of my visits before I narrow it down,” Brown said. “I don’t have any visits scheduled. I’m just taking it week-by-week. When a coach calls and invites me, that’s when I’ll go to their school.” Williams has taken two visits, one to USC and the other to Notre Dame. “I went to South Carolina’s junior day a few weeks ago,” he said. “It went well. I loved it. We went to the basketball game (versus Georgia) and saw the campus. The coaches were real cool and the school itself has a lot to offer me. Their football team is excellent.” He also enjoyed Notre Dame. “It was different and a new experience,” said Williams. “The campus was beautiful.” As for USC’s chances on making his top five he said, “I don’t know about by top five yet. They’re definitely in my top ten.”
Sophomore QB Kevin Johnson Jr. of Atlanta had Gamecock fans buzzing when he posted on Instagram a picture of himself at Williams-Brice Stadium and wrote that he might commit as soon as next week to USC. His dad played at USC in the late nineties. Right now Johnson is not a player USC would take at quarterback. And he has tweeted that he’s slowing things down since he’s only a sophomore: “Just realized I’m only an Sophomore. I don’t to rush this recruiting thing. That’s why it’s called a recruiting process. Learning everyday!!”
