The national debate over whether USC defensive end Jadeveon Clowney should play this season or sit out to protect his status as the #1 pick for the 2014 draft heated up this week. Clowney has given no indication whatsoever that he does not intend to play his junior season with the Gamecocks. And a report today by FoxSports.com gives further indication of Clowney’s plans to be in a Gamecock uniform in 2013.
Alex Marvex reported that a member of Clowney’s camp has contacted a company that provides insurance against catastrophic injury for college athletes. Marvex reported that Clowney’s camp was asking about a five million dollar policy.
