Friday evening we welcomed into the program Clemson baseball assistant coach Bradley LeCroy, to discuss how the squad is looking with just one week left until the Tigers get the 2013 season underway.

LeCroy is looking to get the season underway next Friday in the upstate. He provided us some insight as to who will take the hill opening weekend for the Tigers. He left little surprise as to who will open up the series against William & Mary. Daniel Gossett, the Sophomore righty will be Clemson’s Friday night starter. Saturday and Sunday are somewhat up in the air due to injuries, but LeCroy provided us with some options.
We also talk a little defense with LeCroy, and we get a feel for what Clemson’s approach at the plate will be now that the new bats inaugural season has come and gone. Somehow, Lecroy was forced to talk football twice during his time with us as well. Finally, we asked how the Tigers plan to reclaim Doug Kingsmore Stadium as a viable home field advantage this season, after losing 14 games in their back yard in 2012.
Clemson and Wiliam & Mary will open things up Friday at Doug Kingsmore at 4:00.
