With baseball season less than one month away, we are getting ready for the season openers for the teams across the Palmetto State. One of those teams that is preparing for a new season is the Clemson Tigers. Clemson advanced to the regionals of last season’s NCAA tournament and the Tigers are hoping for an even better campaign in 2013.
Clemson head coach Jack Leggett joined us to talk about his recent honor, as the Tigers’ skipper was named as a future inductee into the American Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame. Leggett is one of seven members of the class of 2014 that will be inducted into the ABCA Hall of Fame on January 3rd of next year. Leggett is entering his 20th season at Clemson and currently has the 14th-most victories in NCAA history with 1,224 career wins.
Leggett also spoke about the secrets to his success in the coaching profession, his early years at Western Carolina and Vermont, and his talents as a football kicker.
