Former Clemson offensive coordinator Billy Napier is back in the ACC. In fact he will visit Death Valley next season. According to the Palm Beach Post, Napier is joining the staff at Florida State as the team’s tight ends coach and recruiting coordinator.
Napier is a pretty well-traveled assistant coach for a guy that is only 33 years old. He ran the Clemson offense for two seasons under Dabo Swiney before he was fired and moved on to work under Nick Saban at Alabama for a season and then moving on to the Colorado State coaching staff last season.
Napier played quarterback at Furman and led the Paladins to the national championship game under Bobby Johnson.
The same Palm Beach Post blog reported that Florida State has also hired former Tennessee and Kentucky assistant Randy Sanders to coach the Seminoles running backs.
