The Georgia Bulldogs are looking to build off of last season’s disappointing 15-17 (5-11 in the SEC; 8th place) record in head coach Mark Fox’s 4th season at the helm. The ‘Dawgs return nine players from last years team, including four starters, but feature nine underclassmen for a mix of youth and experience.
The Bulldogs are led by sophomore guard Kentavius Caldwell-Pope, an All-SEC Freshmen team pick last year and a preseason All-SEC second team this season. Caldwell-Pope is averaging 20.3 points per game and 6.0 rebounds per game through Georgia’s three games so far this season.
The Bulldogs have started poorly this year, carrying a 1-2 record with all of their games being played at home so far. Here are Georgia’s results so far:
11/9 Jacksonville W 68-62
11/12 Youngstown State L 68-56
11/15 Southern Miss L 62-60 (OT)
Georgia’s next game is against top-ranked Indiana as part of the Progressive Legends Classic in Brooklyn. To listen to the full 2012-2013 Georgia basketball preview, click on the link below.
