Auburn finished last season with a 15-16 overall record, including a 5-11 SEC mark, and lost eight players from last years squad. Doesn’t sound like a promising team, right? Well, don’t tell Auburn head coach Tony Barbee that. Entering his third season at the helm of the Tigers, Barbee has high expectations for his squad that was picked to finish 12th in the SEC.
The Tigers return two starters from last years team in seniors Frankie Sullivan and Rob Chubb. Auburn hasn’t made the NCAA Tournament since 2003, which is a streak that coach Barbee wants to break as soon as possible.
Auburn opens their season on Friday when they host IPFW. The team is also set to partake in the Charleston Classic which starts November 15 and will face Murray State in their opening contest.
