The NCAA and the SEC have approved the immediate eligiblity of forward Murpy Holloway, the Columbia native who transferred back to Ole Miss from USC after last season.
The 6-7 former Dutch Fork star left Ole Miss in the spring of 2010 because of family matters that required his attention. Ole Miss coach Andy Kennedy never released Holloway from his scholarship blocking his efforts to transfer to Clemson. He then enrolled at USC, paid his own way, and sat out the season. But last spring, with his family matters apparently resolved, Holloway decided he wanted to return to Oxford.
In his last season on the court for the Rebels, Holloway averaged 10 points and 7 rebounds per game.
