2010-2011 Record: 22-12 (9-7)
Virginia Tech has not made the NCAA Tournament since 2007, despite seasons with 21, 25, and 22 victories. Head coach Seth Greenburg is hoping his team can make a return to March at full strength this season. The Hokies lost four of their top players to injury last year. This season brings forth new challenges, as Virginia Tech is without Malcom Delaney, last year’s leading scorer, and Jeff Allen, last year’s leading rebounder. The Hokies have the most experience player in the ACC in Victor Davila, but the rest of the squad is incredibly inexperienced. Blacksburg is anxious for the debut of much-hyped recruit Dorian Finney-Smith, the gem of a top-15 recruiting class. The Hokies have a streak of five straight winning seasons, but they are looking to achieve more than just an above .500 record this year.
