2010-2011 Record: 23-11 (11-5) Sweet 16
The Seminoles were a basket away from advancing to the Elite 8 last season, but the loss of Chris Singleton and Derwin Kitchen could make another deep March run more difficult. Sophomore Ian Miller is the new man to run the offense and lead Florida State in the rugged ACC. Miller will be expected to take care of the ball and allow the Seminoles to grind out games. Leonard Hamilton’s squad is always one of the top defensive teams in the country and this season should prove no different. The Seminoles should be especially tough in the paint, with Okaro White and Bernard James anchoring the middle. Florida State is deep enough to make the tournament once again, but their ability to replace Singleton and Kitchen may determine if they are able to dance into March.
