2010-2011 Record: 32-5 (13-3) Sweet 16
As always, expectations are high in Durham, as Duke looks to return to the national championship. Although the Blue Devils lost Kyle Singler, Nolan Smith, and Kyrie Irving, Duke will boast a formidable backcourt with Seth Curry, Andre Dawkins, and Austin Rivers. The Plumlee brothers will hold down the paint and bring an inside presence to a lineup filled with sharpshooting guards. The main challenge for head coach Mike Krzyzewski will be keeping his young team focused during the struggle that may come. Duke has five freshmen on the roster and Rivers will likely make an immediate impact. The Blue Devils are younger than their rivals down Tobacco Road, but Krzyzewski usually finds a way to fit all the pieces together. If the squad can through the growing pains early, Duke may find itself as one of the last teams standing in March.
