Welcome to another fine edition of “Talking Tuesday” from the berg of Clemson. Below you will find audio from a few key players and coaches on this weekend’s game featuring 8th ranked Clemson at Maryland.
We will begin with Tigers defensive coordinator Kevin Steele. Clemson’s defense has shown improvement each week and is developing into an impressive unit, especially up front.
Clemson offensive linemen Dalton Freeman and Landon Walker both say they aren’t surprised the team is 6-0. They both said they expected to be a championship caliber team this year. They also both agree there is a lot of work to be done and little time to rest on the laurels of a 6-0 start.
Clemson fans are breathing easier this week knowing quarterback Tajh Boyd is going to be good to go against Maryland Saturday. Boyd had been getting some grief from his teammates for being carted off the field Saturday and putting a scare all the Tiger fans. Defensive end Andre Branch is one of the guys giving Boyd a hard time.
Tajh Boyd is taking the ribbing in stride. He said he is fortunate the injury wasn’t worse. He also said he will make sure to wear his hip pad from here on out.
