USC defensive end Melvin Ingram capped another dominate week by picking up SEC Defensive Player of the Week honors. Ingram had 11 tackles in Saturday’s 16-13 loss to Auburn. That included three sacks and four and a half tackles for loss. He also intercepted a pass on a fake field goal attempt.
Ingram leads the SEC with five and a half sacks. He also leads the conference in tackles for a loss with seven and a half.
USC will play Kentucky Saturday in Columbia.
