On it’s next possession, FSU’s Clint Trickett hit Rodney Smith for 41 yards to the Clemson 43. But the Tigers hold and force a punt. Clemson then began an 11 play, 70 yard drive capped by a one yard run by Andre Ellington. A face mask call against FSU kept the drive going, and Boyd hit passes to Sammy Watkins, DeAndre Hopkins and Adam Humphries. With 3:03 left in the quarter, Clemson leads 28-17.
Florida is driving as the quarter ends. A pass interference call against Clemson on third down keeps the drive going. The Seminoles end the quarter at the Clemson 30.
