USC sophomore running back Marcus Lattimore has been named the SEC co-offensive player of the week. Lattimore rushed for a career-high 246 yards on 37 carries in a 24-21 win over Navy Saturday night. He scored all three of the Gamecocks’ touchdowns.
It is the second time Lattimore has gone over 200 yards rushing in his career. He also did it against Florida last year in the Swamp. After Saturday’s game against Navy, Lattimore is up to seven career 100-plus yard rushing games. He’s gone over 100 in all three games this season.
Florida running back Chris Rainey is the other offensive back of the week.
