Carrying a fake punt 68 yards for a touchdown and recovering an onside kick in a win over Georgia were more than enough to earn USC defensive tackle SEC Special Teams Player of the Week honors Monday. Ingram also scored a defensive touchdown on a fumble recovery in the game.
Ingram is off to a great start this season. He also had an interception in the season opener against East Carolina.
Ingram is the only USC player to get a weekly honor but the league did recognize Marcus Lattimore’s 176 yard rushing effort against Georgia. He also scored a touchdown.
The Gamecocks will play host to Navy Saturday at 6:00 at Williams-Brice Stadium.
