DE Keilin Rayner of Leland, NC is working on his official visits with USC, Clemson, North Carolina and Duke his potential stops. Rayner wants to set a visit with USC for the Auburn weekend and wants to set one with North Carolina for the NC State weekend. He also wants to see East Carolina and NC State. Rayner has visited North Carolina and Duke and has those two at the top of his list. “They give me a good feeling,” he said. “But I want to see how the season goes. North Carolina has all that NCAA stuff and I want to see how that works out.” He will wait until after his visits before making a decision. Rayner is playing fullback and linebacker this season.
Junior TE Reshawn Riley (6-2 210) of Allendale-Fairfax is hearing from Clemson, USC, Coastal Carolina, Georgia Tech and Georgia Southern. He named USC and Clemson his top two schools with the Gamecocks out front. “I went to camp at Carolina this summer and I loved everything about it,” Riley said. He attended a camp at Clemson as well. “We got to hang out with Breshaud Breland (former high school teammate) and he showed us around,” he said. “I loved it. We had a good time.” Riley plans to attend games at Clemson and USC this season. “I was thinking about going to Clemson this Saturday but I don’t know if I’m going to make it,” he admitted. As a sophomore, Riley caught 23 passes for 375 yards and four touchdowns. He plays on both sides of the ball but did say, “I like defensive end but I love tight end!” Riley is waiting on his first offer.
RB Keith Marshall of Raleigh has official visits set with Georgia, Notre Dame and Florida. He told Scout.com he is now looking at Alabama, Florida State, Southern Cal and Virginia Tech for his other official visits. USC is among the other schools on his short list and he has said he will take an unofficial visit with the Gamecocks. He plans to be at the North Carolina game tomorrow in Chapel Hill.
OL Nick Davidson of Eden Prairie, MN, according to KARE TV has a final five of Clemson, Ohio State, Stanford, Oregon and Colorado.
DE Kenderius Whitehead of Monroe, GA has set an official visit to North Carolina and is looking at Georgia, Ohio State, Tennessee, Arkansas and NC State for his other official visits according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. He is favoring Georgia.
Clemson target DL John Atkins of Thomson, GA committed Friday morning to Georgia.
6-8 PF Schuyler Rimmer of Orlando is scheduled for an unofficial visit to Clemson this Saturday. Rimmer is rated among the top players in Florida for the 2013 class. His offers include Penn State, Virginia Tech and Central Florida. He’s also getting interest from Butler, Florida, Stanford and Tennessee. Last season Rimmer averaged 18 points, 9 rebounds and 3 blocks per game.
