The final verdict on the punishment for Clemson receiver Joe Craig was announced Thursday night after practice by head coach Dabo Swinney. Craig will be suspended for the first three games of the season.
Craig was suspended from all team activities until the start of school following an incident with a female member of the Clemson track team in May. He rejoined the team on Thursday.
Craig had a physical altercation with the coed leaving him with a cut on his arm and she with a gash to the head. However, Clemson police did not file any charges in the case.
