College football nomad DL Brandon Willis, the former Byrnes standout, reportedly is attempting to transfer back to UCLA. The Los Angeles Times reported UCLA will try to get a waiver for Willis so that he can play this season. If the waiver is denied, Willis will have to sit out a second consecutive season.
Willis originally committed to Tennessee but ended up signing with North Carolina. But he left Chapel Hill and transferred to UCLA where he sat out last season as a redshirt. He transferred back to North Carolina in January citing family issues. But after Butch Davis was fired as the Tar Heels’ coach, Willis left the program with intentions to transfer.
