OL Cameron Fordham (6-3 284) who is transferring from LSU, plans to make a decision on Monday regarding his new school. Fordham’s coach contacted Clemson for him but was told the Tigers didn’t have room. And he’s tried to reach out to USC but has not gotten a response from the Gamecocks at this point. Georgia, NC State and Central Florida are three schools showing interest.
OL Tyler Stasky (6-9 280) of Wando is not hard to spot on the football field. USC, Liberty and NC State are showing interest in the Lowstate product but want to see some of his senior film. The young man is ready for the season to begin. “They want to evaluate the progress I’ve made over the summer,” Stasky said. “I can’t wait. I feel really good about where I am. I worked really hard this summer and have improved my footwork a lot.” Clemson has received several commitments from offensive linemen leading Stasky to believe the Tigers have filled their needs at that position. “I haven’t heard from them lately,” he said. “With that last commitment, I think they’re probably done with (offensive) linemen.” As for visits, he is considering attending the NC State-Liberty season-opener and is showing interest in each school. “I have a couple of friends playing at Liberty and I’ve heard it’s a beautiful campus and a great place to be,” he said. Stasky does not have any favorites and is confident there are offers in his future.
USC is going hard after 6-5 Carlos Morris of Jacksonville, FL and the Gamecocks have put themselves in good position with him at this point. “I have a good relationship with Coach (Mike) Boynton,” Morris said. “He really wants me. He’s on me the hardest of all the schools. He’s doing his homework.” Morris made an unofficial visit to USC last year and said he will use one of his official visits for a return trip this fall. Morris is also considering Cincinnati, Providence, Georgia, Arkansas, West Virginia and Oklahoma State. He’s not decided on his other official visits and he said there is no leader. Morris averaged 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists per game last season. “I can shoot,” Morris said. “That’s what I’m known for.” Right now he is planning to sign in November.
Coastal Carolina is added 6-7 Olabasi Latunde-Addey to its roster according to jucojunction.com. He’s a junior college player from Arizona who averaged 9 points and 7 rebounds per game last season. Coastal had a scholarship come open
