The suspension of USC quarterback Stephen Garcia is over. Gamecock head coach Steve Spurrier told The State this afternoon that Garcia has been fully reinstated to the team. Garcia was handed a fifth suspension in the spring and was placed on a probationary status. Spurrier said the decision to lift the suspension was made today and Garcia had done everything asked of him.
Spurrier also said quarterbacks coach GA Mangus has had his suspension lifted and will be on the field for the first practice Wednesday night. Mangus was suspended last week after being cited by Greenville police for urinating on Main Street. Mangus faces a $470 fine if convicted of the offense of nuisance conduct.
