USC outfielder Adam Matthews plans to return to school for his senior season. Matthews announced on his Twitter account Sunday that he’s decided to come back to school and not sign with the Orioles who drafted him in the 23rd round. “Looks like I’ll be wearing Garnet and Black for my senior year,” Matthews wrote. Matthews had an injury plagued junior season and batted only .264 with 2 home runs and 14 RBIs. But when healthy Matthews is one of the Gamecocks’ fastest players.
