Until about hour before game time it didn’t look like Christian Walker was going to play in game one of USC’s CWS final against Florida. Walker wasn’t in Ray Tanner’s original lineup because of a broken bone in his left wrist. Tanner decided to insert the sophomore first baseman after watching him his a few balls out of the park in pregame batting practice. Walker answered the bell with two hits and scored the game winning run to put USC up 1-0 in the best of three series.
