Texas became the first team eliminated from the 2011 College World Series Monday with a 3-0 loss to North Carolina. Tar Heel freshman lefthander Kent Emmanuel handcuffed the Longhorns on just four hits as Texas goes 0-2 in the CWS for the first time since 2000. Jacob Stallings delivered all the offense Emmanuel would need with a two run single in the third inning. The Tar Heels are now 51-15 and will play the loser of the Vanderbilt-Florida game in another elimination game Wednesday. That game was postponed by rain with the Gators leading 3-1 in the bottom of the sixth. It will be resumed Tuesday morning at 11:00 AM Eastern.
