Rosenblatt Stadium. TD Ameritrade Park. It doesn’t matter to the Gamecocks. Seems like they can make magic no matter where the diamond. They pulled out a thrilling win Sunday night over Texas A&M in their last at bat, just as they did to win the national championship at Rosenblatt a year ago. It was the Gamecocks’ first win in a CWS opener in 34 years. A guy named Chuck McClain won that game against Baylor with an inside the park home run in the tenth inning. Next up, the nation’s top ranked team in Virginia. The winner of that Tuesday night game won’t have to play again until Friday and will need just one more win to qualify for the championship series.
