Clemson shortstop Brad Miller has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Baseball Player of the Week for the third time this season, while Georgia Tech’s Buck Farmer and Virginia’s Tyler Wilson are the Co-Pitchers of the Week.
Miller led Clemson to four wins last week by hitting .526 (10-for-19) with one homer, seven RBIs, four runs, two walks, one hit-by-pitch, and a .591 on-base percentage in five games.
Against East Tennessee State on Wednesday, the Windermere, Fla., junior went 4-for-4 with three RBIs. His biggest hit of the week came at Virginia Tech in the second game of a doubleheader on Saturday. With the score tied 3-3 in the eighth inning, Miller blasted a three-run homer to propel the Tigers to an eventual 8-3 victory. On the season, Miller leads the ACC in batting average (.435) and on-base percentage (.534) while totaling 10 doubles, three triples, three home runs, 42 RBIs, 45 runs, 34 walks, and 20 stolen bases in 45 games (43 starts).
