We had a chance to catch up with former Clemson football and baseball start Kyle Parker today. Parker is currently playing low-A ball with the Asheville Tourist and he’s killing it. After missing some time with a stomach virus he’s back on the field and hitting .439 with one homerun (grand slam) and 16 RBI. He’s only played in 13 games and has 46 at-bats this season.
Parker will be back in the Palmetto State this weekend when the Tourist open a series with the Greenville Drive Saturday at Flour Field. It may be Parker’s only trip to Greenville because he could move up to AA ball if he continues to rake at his current pace.
Be sure to check out the interview for Kyle’s thoughts on his Clemson career, Tajh Boyd, Dabo Swinney and the NFL draft.
