Coastal Carolina will not open next season in a new venue.
According to The Sun News, the Chanticleers will spend at least part of next season in Kimbel Arena while construction continues on the school’s new Student Recreation and Convocation Center.
The new center is projected to seat over three thousand fans, three times more than Kimbel.
Construction at the Convocation Center is expected to be completed on New Year’s Eve.
It has not been determined whether or not Coastal Carolina will move into the new venue during the season or if the Chanticleers will wait until next year to open the arena.
Coastal Carolina is scheduled to open next season at home versus LSU on November 15th.
