USC All-American outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr. will undergo surgery on Friday on his injured left wrist. He suffered a ligament injury making diving for a ball Saturday against Mississippi State.
Tuesday Gamecock coach Ray Tanner said he did not expect Bradley to return this season. The junior outfielder is expected to be an early round pick in this summer’s MLB draft.
Meanwhile, Gamecock sophomore outfielder Even Marzilli’s status remains in question. Marzilli is dealing with an irregular heartbeat. Doctors are monitoring him and USC officials are not expecting any negative long-term effects.
