USC baseball coach Ray Tanner said today that it is “unlikely” All-American outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr. will return this season. Tanner said Bradley probably needs surgery on his injured left wrist which would end his season and most likely his career with the Gamecocks.
Bradley Jr. was the MVP of the College World Series last year. He injured a ligament in his left wrist diving for a ball in the outfield in Saturday’s loss at Mississippi State. He’s a junior but is projected as a first round pick in the summer’s MLB draft.
