Clemson red-shirt junior WR Brandon Clear is reportedly looking to transfer with one year of eligibility remaining.
According to the Illinois newspaper, The Pantagraph, the 6-5, 210 pound receiver attended University of Illinois spring football practice over the weekend. Clear’s father Sam Clear played for the Illini in 1979 and 1980.
Brandon is an honor student on pace to graduate from Clemson this May. He would be eligible to play this fall if he transfers to a school offering a graduate program not offered at Clemson.
Clear is a native of Hoover, Alabama. He initially chose Clemson over Illinois, NC State, Northwestern, Stanford, Vanderbilt, UCLA and Syracuse. He appeared in all 12 games in 2010 with 3 receptions for 106 yards and 1 TD.
