WR JJ McCullough (6-5 235) of Nation Ford didn’t have a great junior season in the opinion of coach Michael Allen. He did have 35 catches for 300 yards and 6 touchdowns, but Allen is expecting much more this season. “He does a great job in the open field and has great hands,” Allen said. “He has great speed (4.4) and is an excellent jumper.” McCullough also plays running back but receiver will be his college position. Clemson jumped on him early with an offer and since then Kentucky and Miami of Ohio have joined in. McCullough is also drawing interest from USC and NC State. He’s visited Clemson and NC State and Kentucky has invited for a visit. He does not plan an early decision according to Allen.

He also has offers from Clemson, USC, Illinois, Kentucky, Tulane, East Carolina, NC State, Vanderbilt, Duke and Pittsburgh. He did not make it to a spring game last weekend. Columbia High WR Casey Gladney was offered earlier this week by Tennessee according to his coach Kemper Amick. Gladney also has offers from Kentucky and Cincinnati. Notre Dame also called about him and he’s also drawing interest from Clemson, USC, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Illinois and Nebraska. Gladney attended the USC spring game and the Gamecocks want to see him in camp. He was the most valuable receiver at a recent combine and will be at Georgia Friday for a combine.
LB Eric Striker (6-1 195) of Seffner, FL has offers from Iowa, Miami, Oklahoma, Indiana, Vanderbilt, Western Carolina, and Cincinnati among others. He is garnering interest from USC as well. “Coach (G.A.) Mangus came to see me in the fall,” Striker said. “I want to visit them this summer.” He has recently received mail from Clemson. “I haven’t talked to any of their coaches yet but they have sent me some stuff,” he said. Striker went to Florida’s junior day in February but has not taken any visits since then. He says he plans to visit Oklahoma as well as USC this summer. As a junior, he had 127 tackles and 12 sacks. He does not have a favorite.

Thursday he received an invitation in the mail from the Tigers for their summer camp. Fuller said he has interest in the Tigers and he expects the Tigers to scout him this spring. Fuller has offers from Illinois, Indiana, Georgia Tech, UCLA, Western Kentucky, Wisconsin, Maryland and Central Florida. He’s also hearing from Miami. He has visited Miami, Central Florida, Florida State and Florida. Fuller said he favors Clemson, Miami, Alabama and Illinois at this point. He can play linebacker or safety. Last season he had 133 tackles and 4 sacks.
The young Nation Ford program in Fort Mill has its first major college prospect in WR JJ McCullough. And coach Michael Allen says he has two more prospects the schools are noticing. OL JT Boyd (6-4 280) is hearing from Clemson, NC State, Georgia Tech and Georgia. He has visited Clemson, NC State and Georgia and will visit Georgia Tech. He might get an offer from Tech this weekend according to Allen. DE Abri Tate (6-6 235) is drawing interest from Kentucky and his coach feels others will jump in when they see him this spring and this season. He will visit Kentucky later this month.
Clemson is scheduled to be among the schools to see junior center Joell James (6-10 285) of Palm Beach Gardens, FL next week. James said the Tigers, North Carolina and Ohio State have said they will be in. Florida and West Virginia have been in. James has not taken any visits but said he will visit Florida, North Carolina, NC State and Wake Forest. James said he does have interest in Clemson. USC also has offered James but he said he’s not heard from the Gamecocks in some time. Former Gamecock guard Ramon Galloway, who is transferring to LaSalle, is a former teammate of James.
