The USC baseball team held steady at number four in this week’s Baseball America poll. The Gamecocks (14-4) were 3-1 last week with a mid-week win over Wofford and two wins over Georgia in their SEC opening series.
Clemson dropped from 16th to 19th in the poll. The Tigers (10-7) lost to Presbyterian last week but swept Duke over the weekend.
The College of Charleston dropped out of this week’s poll. The Cougars were 0-3 in the tournament they hosted over the weekend.
Florida remains the number one team in the poll. The Gators (18-2) were a perfect 4-0 last week, including an impressive sweep at 11th ranked LSU. USC will play at Florida this weekend.
Collegiate Baseball also has the Florida as its number one team. USC is seventh, the same spot it had last week. Clemson moved up one spot to 15th.
