The USC football team announced position changes Monday as spring practice heats up.
On the offensive side of the ball 6’4 WR Jason Barnes has moved from the outside to the slot position. Tailback Bryce Sherman takes his break-out speed to the wide receiver position. Center Ronald Patrick will transition to offensive guard, where heplayed in high school. With the departure of Weslye Saunders and the graduation of Pat Dimarco, the tight end position will see former defensive players Chaun Gresham and Corey Simmons fill the void, along with former walk-on QB Payton Brady. Walk-on Billy Byrne has played on defense but will now attempt the fullback position.
On the defensive side of the ball, safety Akeem Auguste will move back to the cornerback position.
