The College of Charleston’s Drew Goudelock has been named the Southern Conference player of the year and Cougar head coach Bobby Cremins is the coach of the year, as voted by league coaches.
The Cougars enter the SoCon tournament 22-9 overall and 14-4 in conference, largely in part to the play of Goudelock and coaching of Cremins. Goudelock averages a league-leading 23 points per game and is the school’s career scoring leader with 2,407. Cremins holds a 109-57 record at Charleston through 5 seasons and a 563-365 for his career.
Other players from around the state named to the All-Conference Team include: Donavan Monroe (The College of Charleston), Cameron Wells (The Citadel), Amu Saaka (Furman), and Noah Dahlman (Wofford). Trent Wiedeman of The College of Charleston was also selected to the All-Freshman Team.
