New Clemson offensive coordinator Chad Morris arrived on campus today from Tulsa. Morris reportedly interviewed for the Tulsa head coaching job Tuesday night. It is not known if he will be offered the job or if he has any real interest in it. Morris reportedly will recieve a multi-year contract at Clemson worth about 450-thousand dollars per season.
Clemson also has hired former Tiger receiver Tony Elliott for its offensive staff. Elliott spent the past three seasons coaching receivers at Furman. It’s not clear at this point if he will take over the vacant running backs coaching position or if other moves will be made to allow him to coach receivers.
These two new coaches join the Tigers’ new defensive ends coach Marion Hobby who was hired last weekend.
