ESPN’s Joe Schad is reporting that Clemson junior RB Jamie Harper will forgo his senior year and enter the 2011 NFL Draft. Harper confirmed his plans via his Twitter account
Clemson coach Dabo Swinney, thru spokesman Tim Bourret, said he plans to meet with Harper next week to discuss Harper’s plans.
Harper led the Tigers in rushing this season with 781 yards on 197 carries with 7 TD’s. He also caught 35 passes for 328 yards and 3 scores.
The day Harper committed to the Tigers he made a bold statement. He announced that he would play 3 years at Clemson and then enter the NFL Draft. Now, 3 years later, Jamie Harper is showing he is a man of his word.
