Two sources tell SportsTalk that third year sophomore receiver Tori Gurley has decided to pursue the NFL Draft following USC’s bowl game and will not return to school. One source said Monday Gurley has told the USC coaches of his plans.
Gurley turned 23 years old November 22nd and feels his NFL clock is ticking. Plus, according to a source, Gurley realizes that again next season he will be the #2 receiver to returning All American Alshon Jeffery.
USC coach Steve Spurrier confirmed last week that Gurley, along with redshirt junior offensive lineman Rokevious Watkins, has sent his information in to the NFL for review. Players have until January 15th to put their name in the draft.
Gurley is second on the team this season with 42 catches for 416 yards and 4 touchdowns. In his two seasons with the Gamecocks he has 73 catches for 856 yards and 6 touchdowns.
