The father of Clemson quarterback Kyle Parker said Tuesday afternoon he his planning to file a lawsuit against the website TigerIllustrated for its report about his son’s academic status.
Carl Parker said he’s received legal counsel and feels the website violated the Federal Education Privacy Act when it reported Monday that his son “is in significant danger of being ruled academically ineligible for the bowl game.”
At a news conference Tuesday, Kyle Parker said he is not ineligible for the bowl game and plans to play in the game.
Carl Parker said the report was “printed without confirmation, with malicious intent and for financial gain. They were negligent in their duties.”
