Steve Spurrier just wrapped up his turn on the weekly SEC teleconference. The HBC essentially reiterated a few of the main talking points from his Tuesday presser, pointing out that his team is pretty healthy and is not looking ahead to the SEC Championship.
Spurrier sounded confident when he was asked if USC is in position to consistently compete for SEC championships.
“We hope so,” Spurrier said. You never know until you go play those games next year and the year after and so forth. The facility improvement here at South Carolina is what has given us a chance.”
Spurrier said Eric Hyman deserves credit for upgrading the facilities and helping USC catch up with the rest of the SEC in the facility arms race.
USC and Clemson will play at 7:00 Saturday night at Death Valley.
