Wofford, Coastal Carolina and S.C. State each earned bid to the Football Championship Subdivision playoffs (formerly 1-AA) Sunday.
Wofford is 9-2 and will have a first round bye before they play at Jacksonville State on December 4th. The Terriers clinched a share of the Southern Conference title Saturday with its 45-14 home win over Chattanooga. They have been in the playoffs in three of the past four years.
Coastal Carolina earned a bid to the FCS playoffs by virtue of the Big South regular season title it clinched on Saturday. The Canticleers pounded Charleston Southern 70-3 to improve to 6-5 and 5-1 in the conference.
The Chants earned a first round home game against Western Illinois. The game will kick off at 1:00 Saturday in Conway. The winner will play at Appalachian State on December 4th.
S.C. State is in the postseason after it won a share of the MEAC title with a 48-3 win at North Carolina A&T Saturday. State is 9-2 and will play at Georgia Southern Saturday. The winner will face William and Mary in the second round.
