It was a rough night at the office for former Tyler Thigpen and the Miami Dolphins last night. The former Coastal Carolina standout was making his first start at quarterback for Miami but he and the Fins offense found nothing but tough sledding in a 16-0 home loss to the Bears.
Thigpen’s numbers weren’t terrible by any stretch. He was 17-29 for 187 yards with one interception. He was sacked three times. Sadly for the Dolphins Thigpen also lead the team in rushing with 26 yards. It was a tough situation considering Thigpen was running with the third string until this week. Before the game Thigpen told reporters he only got “mental reps” during practice.
