Steve Spurrier spent most of his segment of Wednesday’s SEC teleconfernce deflecting questions about just how big this weekend’s game against Florida is. Spurrier said he hopes he’s never dumb enough to answer a “what if” question about a game. That was in responde to the “how big would it be IF you win this game?” question.
When someone told Spurrier that Stephen Garcia called this weekend’s game the biggest in USC’s history, the HBC quickly pointed out that he didn’t agree with his QB’s assessment.
“No, that’s not true,” Spurrier said. “Please don’t listen to Stephen when he talks all the time. He’s speaking sometimes for Stephen.”
Spurrier never misses a chance to stick a needle in Garcia, does he?
USC and Florida play at 7:15 Saturday night in the Swamp.
