The Citadel Football returned to the field for day two of fall camp at the Maybank Triplets Practice Facility at Willson Field on Saturday morning. The Bulldogs worked out for two-and-a-half hours in helmets and shorts with an overcast and cooler temperatures in the mid 70s.
Coach Higgins after Day 2: “Our defense has done a very good job picking up the new concepts and schemes. I thought they particularly did a nice job on the pass skeleton. We’ve done a lot of work one-on-one pass and also pass skeleton. Those guys have run to the football extremely well and they we’re playing the ball better in the air also.
“Offensively, we’ve put in three or four new concepts. I thought also we threw the ball a little better from an offensive standpoint. I think the freshmen are starting to feel a little more comfortable each and every day.”
