USA Baseball’s Collegiate National Team advanced to the finals of the V FISU World University Championships in Tokyo, Japan with a 4-2 victory in Thursday’s semifinal vs. host Japan.
USC outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr. was 1-for-4 with a run scored in the Red, White & Blue’s victory. Team USA will face Cuba for the gold on Saturday.
Bradley had had a stellar summer for Team USA with a .349 batting average in 17 games with 11 RBI and 13 runs scored.
The U.S. owns a 16-2 record heading into the finals.
Bradley was the 2010 College World Series Most Outstanding Player and the Gamecocks’ leading hitter this past season.
