Clemson baseball coach Jack Leggett chatted with some media members today to put the wraps on the Tigers season. Leggett’s crew made an improbable run deep into the College World Series before being eliminated by USC.

Despite the disappointing end to the season Leggett remains extremely proud of the way this team battled back from adversity to make the trip to Omaha. During the midseason swoon it would have been easy for the team to mail it in, but it dug in and ended up playing its best baseball at the end of the year. With the exception of the one run loss to USC in Omaha, this Tiger team won almost every big game it needed to.
As far as a Kyle Parker update, Leggett did talk to K.P. yesterday and Parker told him that he had a great trip to Denver to meet with the Rockies brass. Leggett said it was mostly a meet and greet and no numbers were discussed.
Parker told a Denver reporter that he expects to make a decision in the next couple of weeks. All signs continue to point to Parker signing with the Rockies and giving up both baseball and football at Clemson.
