The Clemson football team rolled through another workout Wednesday afternoon. The Tigers used some of their time holding a controlled scrimmage. By controlled, I mean the coaches put the players in various game situations to see how the offense and the defense would react. Dabo Swinney plans to have a regular full scrimmage with the team on Saturday.
Overall Dabo Swinney seemed pretty pleased with the results of the scrimmage. He cited pointed out that Kyle Parker is having a good spring and the receivers and running backs have looked good too. He is, however, still seeing more mental mistakes than he would like.
Dabo Swinney post practice Wednesday
As is always the case, the best news Wednesday is that everyone came out of the scrimmage injury free. Also, Swinney appears to be pleased with the talent he has on this team, especially on offense. There is a lot of competition at various positions and that always makes for the kind of intense practices coaches love.
It will be interesting to see who comes out on top in the position battles when the post spring depth chart is released next month.
