The Citadel football coach Kevin Higgins and school athletic director Larryi Leckonby spoke publicly Tuesday for the first time about the arrest of Bulldog quarterback Miguel Starks Saturday on charges of armed robbery, kidnapping, first-degree burglary and possesison of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime. He was one of four people arrested and he remains in jail. Astonishingly, the victim in this case was Bulldog assistant coach Joshua Harpe.
The Charleston Post and Courier website has video of Higgins meeting with reporters yesterday. The paper also has a follow up story about the fallout from this arrest and how it’s impacted the perception of Higgins and his program.
Charleston police also are investigating whether Starks is tied to another robbery in the Charleston area
